SBS Service 163 is a trunk service in Singapore operated by SBS Transit. It plies between Sengkang Bus Interchange and Toa Payoh Bus Interchange. It is notable that this service was the first to go between two air-conditioned bus interchange, and the only service to serve the residents of Fernvale and Anchorvale.

It is also the bus service which terminate at the same two bus interchanges, the other is Service 159.

History

Service 163 used to ply between the former Jalan Kayu Bus Terminal and HarbourFront Bus Interchange (Formerly World Trade Centre Bus Terminal). It was shortened in the late 1980s to Marina Centre Bus Terminal, and once again shortened to Toa Payoh Bus Interchange in 1993 after the merger with service 137.

The operator of the service was handed over to the now-defunct Trans-Island Bus Service on 17 December 1995 but was reverted back to SBS Transit on 26 December 1999.

Service 163 was re-routed with the opening of Sengkang Bus Interchange on 2002. The last modification to the service was on 2005, when it was enhanced to serve Fernvale Lane under the Sengkang LRT Line rationalisation.
